2024-10-23

The Slovenian Nursing Review is pleased to announce a call for papers for an upcoming special issue focused on Promoting Mental Health and Well-being in the Digital Era. As digital technologies increasingly permeate every aspect of our lives, the mental health field is transforming rapidly. The pervasive use of digital tools, social media, and online platforms has created both unprecedented opportunities and significant challenges for mental health care, well-being, and overall societal health.

This special issue aims to explore the multifaceted impact of digitalisation on mental health, well-being, and healthcare delivery. From the rise of telemedicine and digital therapeutics to the influence of social media on mental health, this topic touches various disciplines, including psychology, psychiatry, nursing, public health, sociology, and information technology. This issue aims to deepen our understanding of how digital innovations influence mental health services and individual well-being, bringing together insights from various disciplines.

We invite researchers, practitioners, and experts from diverse fields to contribute original papers that explore the following themes:

  • The role of digital tools in enhancing or hindering mental health and well-being
  • Digital mental health interventions and their effectiveness
  • Ethical concerns surrounding digital mental health care
  • The impact of social media on mental health across different age groups
  • Telehealth services and their adoption in mental health care
  • Interdisciplinary approaches to improving mental health in the digital era
  • The role of healthcare professionals in adapting to digital tools for mental health support
  • Technological innovations that promote mental well-being in different populations

Contributions from healthcare, technology, psychology, and social sciences are particularly encouraged, focusing on interdisciplinary research that addresses the evolving relationship between technology and mental health.
