Functional nutrients in healthy nutrition

Abstract

In the article the most important elements in the nutrition used to strengthen the immune system and suspending the process of ageing are presented. Only healthy and balanced nutrition, which contains enough antioxidants enables to the human body resistance against free radical attack. The most important antioxidants are vitamin C, E, A, and other carotenoids, Q 10, flavonoids and many others. Free radical etiology research emerges new possibilities for preventing and treating many chronical diseases. It is important to use good, essential unsaturated fats ?3 and ?6. Regarding this, the appropriate proportion of fat intake is essential for its effect. To straighten the immune system the adequate amount of fibrin and fermented milk products – probiotics should be consumed. Both type of mentioned nutritions are regarded as functional food.
