Vključevanje invalidnih oseb v aktivno družbeno življenje (možnosti in ovire)

Povzetek

The Author puts forth the problem and presents the causes and various types and degrees of invalidity. She deals with the factors conducive to or impeding rehabilitation of the patient's personality (physical, mental and social) as well as the vocational rehabilitation and social re-integration of the handicapped individuals. A need is stressed for designing the structures which would be easily reachable by the invalides. The author calls for faster implementation of statutory regulations in practice and changing the approach to the disabled as well as for their more rapid re-integration into the community. The handicapped individals should attain »full collaboration and equality« as stated in the motto of the United Nations in the Year of Invalides 1981. Humanization of work and working environment as well as the attitude towards the handicapped reflect the humanity level of a community. We have to deal with the dialectic process of internation rahter than mere adaptation of the disabled to the community. Some data on the re-employed invalides in the SR of Slovenia in 1979 are given.
