Povzetek

The author describes the organizational and functional units of the Home for the Aged, Maribor, which performs the tasks of special social interest. The costs of running are covered by board and lodging, charged according to the category of room and the degree of the residenťs ambulation. The problem of financing the nursing care of the bedridden residents still remains to be adequately met. The author outlines the organization of health services, the structure, tasks and duties of the health staff, the admission and discharge procedures, and the activities of the residents, and sets the guidelines of future work.
