Education of midwives in the european union

Entering the European Union will require several adjustments, among others also modifications in the educational program for graduate female and male midwives. Sectoral directives of EU in the field of educational programmes for midwives will have to be acknowledged. There are big differences in education and practice of midwives’ work in different European countries: however, the goal is the same everywhere, which was evident on the conference Revitalizing Midwifery presented in the report contained in the second part of the article.Downloads
