Problems of feeding after stroke

The article presents the findings of the research on problems occuring in feeding the patients after stroke. The research study was carried out in two old people’s homes by means of inquiries for 62 patients and personnel helping them with their feeding. The goal of the research was to find out kinds and severity of the problems and the attitude of patients towards them. It has been found out that problems with feeding following stroke are a frequent and severe problem, occurring in 76 % of the cases, having also deep psychological and social consequences.Downloads
