Ethical considerations in nursing the dying
Abstract
The article is a part of the research of The Nurses Association of Ljubljana, named Nursing in the light of the ethics of care which was conducted among Slovene nurses in November 2003. Shifting conception of death and dying and a short survey of development of ethical theories are presented. The principles of the ethic of justice and the elements of the ethic of care are discussed through the nursing the dying point of view. The results are showing the need for changes in nursing to improve the conditions for the dying.Downloads
