Povzetek

Uvod: Študenti zdravstvene nege se srečujejo s številnimi stresorji, ki lahko prispevajo k pojavu duševnih stisk. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti razlike v samooceni izraženosti simptomov duševnih stisk glede na letnik študija, spol, starost in prisotnost kronične bolezni, definirati najpogosteje izbrane vzroke duševnih stisk ter preučiti značilnosti iskanja pomoči.
Metode: Za pilotno kvantitativno raziskavo je bil uporabljen strukturiran vprašalnik. Priročni vzorec je vključeval 243 študentov dodiplomskega študija zdravstvene nege na eni izmed slovenskih zdravstvenih fakultet, realizacija je znašala 29,2 % (n = 71). Pri analizi so bile uporabljene metode opisne in inferenčne statistike.
Rezultati: Duševne stiske so najbolj izražene med študenti, starimi ≤ 25 let (U = 372,00, p = 0,019), in se statistično značilno razlikujejo glede na letnik študija (χ² = 8,43, p = 0,038). Post hoc analize so pokazale, da študenti prvega letnika poročajo o višji stopnji stiske v primerjavi z drugim letnikom (p = 0,042). Študenti prvega letnika doživljajo stiske predvsem zaradi izpitnega obdobja ( = 4,29, s = 0,849). Pomoči ne poišče polovica študentov (50,70 %). Najpogosteje se obrnejo na bližnje osebe (87,3 %).
Diskusija in zaključek: Študenti se zelo pogosto srečujejo z duševnimi stiskami, posebej med izpitnim obdobjem. Čeprav manjša realizacija vzorca omejuje posplošitev rezultata na večji del prebivalstva, raziskava ponuja pomemben uvid v razširjenost problematike duševnih stisk kot osnovo za nadaljnje raziskovanje ter razvoj sistemske psihološke podpore na ravni visokošolskih ustanov.
