Bibliometric analysis of the authors of the journal of slovenian nursing association

The article is part of an extensive bibliometric and content analysis of the Journal of the Slovenian Nursing Association (JSNA), which was the topic of the first author’s MSc thesis (Dornik, 2002). The historical development of the journal is presented, while the empirical research focuses on authors in the JSNA. The analysis is based on 843 papers, published in the Articles section between 1976 and 2001. 97 % of the authors are from Slovenia. 26,8 % authors have a vocational college degree, 15,7 % have a B.S. degree (5,5 % from Faculty of organizational sciences and 5,6 % are B.S. in nursing). 28 nurses have a postgraduate education, two of them PhD. 47 % of the papers were co-authored by at least one nurse. Clinical Center Ljubljana is the most frequest affiliation of authors; most authors come from Ljubljana.Downloads
