Pristopi za izboljšanje adherence jemanja zdravil pri starejših osebah

Uvod: Podaljšana življenjska doba je pripomogla k povečani razširjenosti kroničnih bolezni, ki zahtevajo dolgoročno zdravljenje z upoštevanjem adherence jemanja zdravil. Neadherenca jemanja zdravil je izrazit problem v zdravstvu in družbi nasploh, zato je bil namen s pregledom literature poiskati učinkovite pristope, ki prispevajo k adherenci jemanja zdravil pri starejših osebah.
Metode: Uporabiljen je bil krovni pregled literature, ki je potekal v marcu 2023. Pri tem so bile upoštevane smernice PRISMA. Pregled literature je bil izveden v naslednjih podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect in Web of Sciences. Za oceno kakovosti vključenih virov je bilo uporabljeno ocenjevalno orodje Joanna Briggs Institute.
Rezultati: Izmed 242-ih identificiranih člankov je bilo sedem člankov vključenih v vsebinsko analizo, sintezo in kompilacijo. Oblikovane so bile štiri podkategorije, ki prispevajo k adherenci jemanja zdravil pri starejših osebah: 1) zdravstvena vzgoja starejših oseb; 2) nadzor nad jemanjem zdravil; 3) uporaba dozatorjev za zdravila; 4) orodja za ocenjevanje sposobnosti adherence jemanja zdravil.
Diskusija in zaključek: Identificiranih je bilo več pristopov za izboljšanje adherence jemanja zdravil pri starejših osebah. Med ključnimi pristopi so zdravstvena vzgoja, nadzor nad jemanjem zdravil, uporaba dozatorjev za zdravila in orodij za ocenjevanje spodobnosti adherence jemanja zdravil. Ti pristopi nudijo dragocene vpoglede v izboljšanje zdravstvenega stanja in kakovosti življenja starejših oseb.
