Pojasnjevalni dejavniki politične aktivnosti medicinskih sester

Uvod: Vloga medicinskih sester v političnem procesu je ključnega pomena za izboljšanje zdravstvenih politik in kakovosti oskrbe, vendar je njihova aktivnost iz različnih razlogov pogosto omejena. Namen raziskave je proučiti in pojasniti dejavnike, ki so povezani z aktivno vlogo medicinskih sester pri oblikovanju politike v sistemu zdravstvenega varstva.
Metode: Uporabljen je bil sistematičen pregled znanstvene literature v podatkovnih bazah CINAHL, Science Direct, Cochrane Library, Scopus, PubMed in COBIB.SI. Vključeni so bili znanstveni članki, objavljeni v slovenskem in angleškem jeziku, med letoma 2014 do 2024, ki so bili prostodostopni. Potek pregleda literature je prikazan z diagrami PRISMA. Rezultati so bili analizirani s tematsko analizo.
Rezultati: V končno analizo je bilo vključenih dvanajst virov: dva sistematična pregleda literature, pet kvalitativnih raziskav in pet presečnih raziskav iz devetih držav. Oblikovane so bile štiri tematske kategorije: (1) prednosti vključevanja medicinskih sester v politično odločanje, (2) slabosti in izzivi politične aktivnosti medicinskih sester, (3) priložnosti za povečanje angažiranosti medicinskih sester in (4) ovire pri vključevanju medicinskih sester v politični proces.
Diskusija in zaključek: Medicinske sestre bi lahko prispevale k boljšim političnim odločitvam v zdravstvenem sektorju, vendar jim pogosto za aktivno sodelovanje na tem področju primanjkuje motivacije. Vključevanje medicinskih sester v politiko bi lahko bilo večje s povečanjem političnih veščin, spodbujanjem sodelovalnega obnašanja in opolnomočenjem na organizacijski ravni. Ključnega pomena je usklajeno delovanje vseh deležnikov zdravstvenega sistema ter zagotavljanje ustrezne podpore in izobraževanja za razvoj političnih kompetenc pri medicinskih sestrah.
